Welcome to the Child Nutrition Department

The mission of the Child Nutrition Department is to play an active role in the total educational experience and to make a difference in the lives of children. Friendly Child Nutrition Professionals will provide a variety of quality, nutritious meals in a safe and caring environment. 

 

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.   Parent Letter - Policies & Procedures 



ONLINE MEAL PAYMENT OPTION NOW AVAILABLE

Hudson ISD already provides access through Skyward Family Access to check your child's meal account balance and history of transactions.  Now in addition to accepting cash and check for school meals, HISD is offering parents the convenient option of making online payments for student meals.  Payments may be made with Master Card or VISA at any time of the day or night, seven days a week.  You must have an account with Family Access to use this option.   Once you log in to your Family Access account, go to the Food Service tab and under your student's account information, look for the "make on line payment" tab.  Click this tab and follow the easy steps to make a payment.  Payments are immediately posted to your child's account.  Separate transactions are required for each child.  We hope you find this option easy and convenient.  If you have any issues or problems with this system, please contact the Food Service office at 875-9217.



Special Dietary Needs (Food Allergies)

If your child is in need of a special diet relating to a medical condition, please contact the Director of Child Nutrition and schedule a meeting.  The diet order form in the attachment is required to be filled out by your child's physician or medical authority.  Substitutions can be made to meals if it is required by doctor's orders.  Substitutions based on a child's personal likes and dislikes will not be made.
